Santiago: to the Coast then the Interior

Itinerary: 4 Days / 3 Nights

DAY 1: SANTIAGO / VALPARAÍSO / VIÑA DEL MAR

  • Depart to the coast. On the way, you can observe the landscape and vegetation change, in Curacaví and Casablanca valleys, as well as Cordillera de la Costa (Coast Mountain Range). In Casablanca you will enjoy a wine tour at Veramonte Vineyard, learning how they produce Chardonnay and Souvignon Blanc, thanks to the nice weather. Arrive in Valparaíso, the main commercial port in Chile, you will see clusters of multicoloured houses built on the hills. Visit La Sebastiana, home of the Nobel Prize winning poet, Pablo Neruda. Then drive passed the National Congress, Pedro Montt Avenue, Italian Park, Victoria Square and the Cathedral. Then continue along the coast border, from Valparaíso to Viña del Mar, which is also known as “The Garden City”. Where you will pass by the Reloj de Flores (Flower Clock), Wulff Castle, Casino Municipal, Avenida Peru (Avenue), Acapulco Beach and Muelle Vergara (Vergara Pier). This trip continues along the coast passing by the beaches: Las Salinas, Reñaca and Cochoa. Accommodation in Viña del Mar.

DAY 2: VIÑA DEL MAR / CON CON / LA CAMPANA NATIONAL PARK / VIÑA DEL MAR

  • (Breakfast)
  • Depart from Viña del Mar along the coastal route to Con Con, another beautiful beach resort. Then continue to Olmué Town, a typical Chilean farm. During the summer, the “Huaso (cowboys) Festival” takes place. This is one of the entrances into La Campana National Park, declared ‘Biosphere Reserve’, by UNESCO. The forest in La Campana and Roble Mountains are located at 900 meters above the sea level. Charles Darwin was amazed by its flora. Ascending Campana Mountain, if weather allows, you can have a panoramic view of the Andes Mountain Range and Pacific Ocean. This park shelters the endangered Chilean Palm, surrounded by the local fauna . Return to the hotel in Viña del Mar. Accommodation in Viña del Mar.

DAY 3: VIÑA DEL MAR / ALGARROBO / EL QUISCO / EL TABO / ISLA NEGRA / VIÑA DEL MAR

  • (Breakfast)
  • Depart from Viña del Mar to visit the main resorts and beaches. Stop at Algarrrobo, a beautiful resort with its interesting handicraft fair. Then visit El Quisco and El Tabo, renowned for its peaceful sea. Afterwards, arrive in Isla Negra, where Nobel Prize winning poet Pablo Neruda, had a house. Return to the hotel in Viña del Mar. Accommodation in Viña del Mar.

DAY 4: VIÑA DEL MAR / SANTIAGO

  • (Breakfast)
  • At the agreed time, transfer to the airport for your flight.
