Punta Arenas to Glaciars, Caves and Torres del Paine

Itinerary: 4 Days / 3 Nights

DAY 1: PUNTA ARENAS / PUERTO NATALES

  • Reception at airport in Punta Arenas and transfer to Puerto Natales where you can see sheep, cattle and nandues. Stop to see the Seno Otway Penguin Colony. Arrive to the picturesque town of Puerto Natales, which is situated on the banks of Ultima Esperanza Bay. Accommodation in Puerto Natales.

DAY 2: PUERTO NATALES / BALMACEDA AND SERRANO GLACIERS / PUERTO NATALES

  • (Breakfast - Box Lunch)
  • An early morning boat trip along Ultima Esperanza Bay towards Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers. During the trip, you can observe cormorants and sea-wolves. Upon arrival, take a short walk to Serrano Glacier to admire the impressive thousand-year old ice. Box lunch. Return to Puerto Natales, and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in Puerto Natales.
  • (From November through March, the excursion departs on a daily basis. The rest of the year these are subject to availability with a fixed departure on Sundays)

DAY 3: PUERTO NATALES / MILODON CAVE / TORRES DEL PAINE NATIONAL PARK

  • (Breakfast - Dinner)
  • Depart to Torres del Paine National Park. where you will have the opportunity to Milodon Cave, where the remains of a herbivore animal that used to live here (approximately 12,000 years ago) were found. Inside the park, visit Sarmiento, Nordenskjold and PehoĆ© lakes, and Salto Grande (Grande Waterfall). Finally arrival to Grey Lake, were you can watch the impressive ice floes that have broken off the Grey Glacier, free time to wander. In the afternoon, return to the hotel in in the Torres de Paine National Park. Accommodation in Torres del Paine National Park.

DAY 4: TORRES DEL PAINE NATIONAL PARK / PUNTA ARENAS

  • (Breakfast)
  • Depart at 07:15 hrs on a scheduled bus service to the airport in Punta Arenas, to board your flight.

NOTES:

  • Season: All year (September to May)
  • All meals, services, entrance fees as indicated, are included
  • Bilingual (Spanish - English) guide
  • Services: S.I.B. (Shared services)
  • Minimum 1 passengers
  • Trekking gear is highly recommended for the excursions
  • After March the Otway Penguin Colony is available according to the breeding conditions
  • All foreigner non residents in Chile are vat exempt (19%). In case of no-shows the hotels collect this tax.
