There is no other place in the world as amazing as Antarctica. This continent is almost completely covered by ice, a desert of water. Covering an area of around 7,000,000 km², Antarctica is the second smallest continent after Australia. It is also the windiest, coldest and least populated of the planet. The search for the Antarctic Continent was one of the last great adventures during exploration times. We invite you to explore and feel the " Antarctic, The White Silence " an unique experience on earth.
DAY 1: PUNTA ARENAS - KING GEORGE ISLAND - PUNTA ARENAS
- Transfer to the airport in Punta Arenas to take the airplane to the Antarctica, King George Island. First of all, the pilot will check the weather conditions and if they are favourable we will leave heading south towards Antarctica, our destination. During the flight, we will be crossing the Magellan’s Strait and continue over Tierra del Fuego, Darwin Mountains and its glaciers. Only islands will compose the landscape until we reach Cabo de Hornos (Cape Horn) and the last rocks of the American continent. After of a pleasant flight of three and a half hours we will get to the Antarctic’s airport of Frei Base at king George Island. After the arrival, we will visit the establishments of Villa Las Estrellas (The Stars Village), first site to inhabited by civilians, and the Meteorological Centre. Then we will visit the Sea Lion colony in the Drake Sea in a hike across the runway towards the beach. Enjoy lunch and/or a snack depending on the place and time of arrival. Then we will take a short walk to the Chinese Station to observe Marine Birds, Penguins and Weddell Seals. Also we will walk through an isthmus to Ardley Island, where Papua Penguin colonies live. During the day some time is left to see places of attraction and prepare our return to Punta Arenas.

- Program requires a minimum of 8 passengers (aircraft KING AIR) to make this program available.
- Passenger should consider 1 day extra of stay at the beginning and 2 days extra of stay at the end of the excursion in Punta Arenas, according to some delay because of weather conditions.
- Program requires special clothing during trip to Antarctica.

- Trekking shoes for the snow
- 2 pairs of thick socks (wool or wool blend)
- 2 pairs thin thermal socks
- Thermal long underwear
- Waterproof rain pants
- Waterproof backpack
- Wool sweaters, polar fleece jackets or polypropylene vests
- Do not use cotton
- 1 snow jacket made of gore text
- Ski gloves, mittens and a pair of thin glove liners
- Scarf
- 1 polypropylene or wool ski cap (preferably wind-proof), ear flaps or a pair of ear mufflers
- Sun glasses with uv protection
- Sun block and lip balm with uv protection
- Video or photographic camera
- Film
- Binoculars
