Puerto Montt: to Fly Fishing at Lodge Ruca Chalhuafe

Itinerary: 8 Days / 7 Nights

DAY 1: PUERTO MONTT / ENSENADA

(Cocktail - Dinner)
Reception at the airport in Puerto Montt and transfer to Ensenada near Llanquihue Lake. Arrive at Ruca Chalhuafe Lodge. Welcome cocktail. Organize your equipment and fly selection. Dinner. Accommodation at Ruca Chalhuafe Lodge.

DAY 2: ENSENADA

(Breakfast - Box Lunch - Dinner)
A day of fly fishing in Puelo River beginning in Pasarela to San Basilio runs. Enjoy a box lunch at the river. Puelo River is rich with Rainbow and Steelhead trout. Also it is possible to find Chinook, Coho and Atlantic salmon. Later go to San Basilio White waters, during the afternoon, return to the lodge. Accommodation at Ruca Chalhuafe Lodge.

DAY 3: ENSENADA

(Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner)
Transfer by boat to a fishing point in Llanquihue Lake. Return to the lodge for lunch. Then go to Huenu-Huenu River. The fishing is perfect when light equipment and small flies are used. During the afternoon return to the lodge. Accommodation at Ruca Chalhuafe Lodge.

DAY 4: ENSENADA

(Breakfast - Box Lunch - Dinner)
Depart to Petrohue River for a morning of fishing. Box lunch at the edge of the river. Petrohue is well known for its variety of salmon, such as Coho, Salar, and Chinook, which are the most common types. Return to the lodge. Accommodation at Ruca Chalhuafe Lodge.

DAY 5: ENSENADA

(Breakfast - Box Lunch - Dinner)
Fishing during the morning at Rupanco Lake in three inlet rivers. Box lunch at the edge of the river. During the afternoon fishing, where Chinook and Coho salmon will be caught and released. Return to the lodge. Accommodation at Ruca Chalhuafe Lodge.

DAY 6: ENSENADA

(Breakfast - Box Lunch - Dinner)
Depart to Frio River for a morning of fishing. Box lunch at the edge of the Petrohue River. These waters are rich with species such as Coho and Atlantic. Return to the Lodge. Accommodation at Ruca Chalhuafe Lodge.

DAY 7: ENSENADA

(Breakfast - Box Lunch - Dinner)
Depart to Maullin River, rich in Salar and Rainbow salmon. Box lunch at the edge of the river. During the afternoon transfer to the lodge. Accommodation at Ruca Chalhuafe Lodge.

DAY 8: ENSENADA / PUERTO MONTT

(Breakfast - Lunch)
A morning of fishing at the stream inlets of Llanquihue Lake. Return to the lodge. Farewell lunch. During the afternoon transfer to Puerto Montt airport for your flight.
