Description
Travel up the Lluta Valley, passing by the Pukará de Copaquilla, from the XII century, the “Inca Tambo” of Zapahuira and the villages of Putre and Parinacota, to the Lauca National Park. The park has a wide variety of highland flora and fauna, beautiful swamp areas and impressive volcanoes like the “Payachatas” (Parinacota, 6 330 m / 20 889 feet and Pomerape, 6 240 m / 20 592 feet) and wonderful views of the Cotacotani lagoons and the Chungará lake, at 4 570 m / 15 081 feet.
